Attendance Overview
How Busiman tracks who's in, from where, and how it gets approved.
Attendance in Busiman isn't just a single "check in" button. It's built to answer a harder question honestly: was this person actually at work, and can we prove it without making them do extra paperwork?
There are four ways a check-in can be recorded:
| Source | What it means |
|---|---|
| Mobile | Self check-in/out from the employee's own phone |
| Desktop | Check-in from the Busiman desktop app |
| Gate | Automatic, via a Bluetooth beacon device at the office entrance |
| Web | Check-in from a browser session |
And two ways it gets trusted:
- Network-verified — the employee's phone was able to reach the office's local network while checking in, which is treated as strong proof of being on-site.
- Remote, with approval — the employee wasn't on the office network, so they submit a reason and a manager has to approve it before it counts as official attendance.
